Our History

Training Basketball Céline Dumerc was founded in 2015 with the vision of creating a space where young athletes could develop both their basketball skills and their personal character. From our earliest days in Jaillans, our goal has been to combine high-quality training with the teaching of values such as teamwork, discipline, respect, and civic responsibility.

The association began as a modest initiative, welcoming a small group of young players who shared a passion for basketball. These early participants became the foundation of a community dedicated to sporting excellence and personal growth. With the support of committed families and local partners, we were able to provide structured training sessions that emphasized not only technical skills but also the values that define our association.

Early Development

During the first years, our focus was on establishing solid programs that balanced athletic training and character education. Coaches and mentors were carefully selected for their expertise and ability to inspire young athletes. The early training sessions emphasized fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense, while also promoting teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Even in our initial stages, it became clear that basketball could serve as a powerful educational tool. Players not only improved physically but also developed leadership skills, self-confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility. Families quickly recognized the positive impact, which encouraged further growth and participation.

Milestones and Growth

Over the years, Training Basketball Céline Dumerc has reached several important milestones:

  • Expansion of Programs: From a small group of participants, we expanded to include multiple age categories, catering to beginners, intermediate players, and advanced athletes.
  • Development of Mentorship Initiatives: Recognizing the importance of personal growth, we introduced mentorship programs that pair experienced coaches and older athletes with younger participants.
  • Community Engagement: We began organizing local tournaments, workshops, and outreach events, fostering connections with schools, families, and community organizations.
  • Recognition and Achievements: Our athletes started participating in regional competitions, demonstrating not only technical skill but also sportsmanship and teamwork, which earned recognition for the association.

Each of these milestones reflects our commitment to growth, excellence, and the promotion of basketball as both a sport and a medium for personal development.

Lessons Learned

Our history is also a history of learning. As the association has grown, we have adapted our programs to meet the evolving needs of our participants. Feedback from athletes, families, and coaches has been instrumental in shaping training methods, scheduling, and community initiatives.

We have learned that consistent effort, clear communication, and a focus on values are essential for creating an environment where young people can thrive. By embracing these lessons, we continue to refine our approach and ensure that our programs remain effective, engaging, and aligned with our mission.

Looking Forward

The history of Training Basketball Céline Dumerc is a story of growth, dedication, and impact. While we honor our origins, we remain focused on the future. Our aim is to expand our reach, develop innovative programs, and continue fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and civic responsibility.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to the principles that guided our founding: the belief that basketball is a tool for learning, growth, and community connection. Each new generation of athletes contributes to our evolving story, ensuring that the history we are building is not only rich in achievements but also in the values that define us.
